It started just recently. I ask because I have seen Avast on two PC's kill the Win10 Start button as well as the right mouse click context menu. PNL, this is not just you. I've spent quite a few hours to figure out this issue when I installed windows 10 back then, my start menu would break everytime and the cause was that I had Microsoft Edge cleaning options selected.

Alternately did you mean "Start Menu Order" as this i the only one I can find that mentions the word "menu", or are both of these settings involved, any advice appreciated. In the interim I unchecked both boxes on my Pc's.

For those interested after putting a new Win 10 enterprise image on my system and deselecting both "MUI Cache" plus "Start Menu Ordering" option in the registry section of cCleaner ir worked flawlessly for over 3 months.
I have done no further work to isolate which one it is. My issue definitely started after I ran the "Cleaner" section no the Registry section. So does running the "Cleaner" section also run Registry?
Just seems like there is a disconnect here. Some option s within the "Cleaner" section must be causing this issue on Windows 10 machines. Apprehensive about running "Cleaner" section again for fear of losing my start menu.
